We went for a tour of the Kyoto Imperial Palace and our tour guide was a young Japanese woman who spoke English with a modest Japanese accent. She was quite entertaining as a tour guide and she made my brother and I laugh with some of her cute explanations of things. The tour group was pretty large, maybe close to 100 people, so she carried a portable speaker over her shoulder and spoke into a microphone so everyone could hear.
