Admiring Osaka CastlePrevious13 of 94Next

That’s me sitting on the bench looking up at Osaka Castle. The Castle was built in the 16th century but it was burnt down after being struck by lighting in the 17th century. What’s there today appears to be a replica of the original, but it’s still quite majestic. The castle’s surrounding walls and moats are still in tact, so you get a sense for what the castle must have been like in its day. I believe the street lamp was not part of the original castle. :-)
