This street performer and his monkey were putting on a bit of a show in the courtyard of Osaka Castle. The monkey was jumping through hoops, mimicking human gestures like Japanese-style bowing, balancing himself on a rolling ball, and other monkey tricks. I’m not sure what the etiquette is for paying street performers in Japan as I didn’t notice anyone tossing change anywhere, so I just stood back and watched.
