Overlooking Ginkaku-ji Temple | 33 of 94 |
Ginkaku-ji temple dates back to the 15th century and there’s an interesting history regarding its maker but I don’t remember it well enough to repeat it. The striped surface at the bottom of the photo is a two-metre high sand sculpture that is meant to look like a silver sea when the moon is shining on it. The sculpture is constantly groomed and is really impressive to see up close.
