I took some photos of the UWO campus (where I went to school for six years) and I discovered that my trusty 28-80mm lens was not up to the job. It had neither the optical quality nor the zoom range to make the best use of my new Maxxum 7D. After thinking about it for a week, I decided to splurge on a brand new Minolta 17-35mm lens, so my 28-80mm lens has officially seen its last days of use. I feel like I should be throwing a retirement party for my old lens or something to commemorate its many years of reliable service.
There are two sets of photos on this page: those taken with my old lens and those taken with the new lens. The photos taken with the new lens are clearly sharper and more vivid.
