Bird-Watching in KyotoPrevious35 of 94Next

The Westin Miyako hotel had a bird sanctuary on its premises with over 50 types of birds living in the trees. The bird-watching trail was only about 700 metres long but it went way up into the hills and took us well over an hour before we got back. Unfortunately, we never saw a single bird, though we could constantly hear them in the trees. It was raining lightly so that might be why the birds didn’t come out to play.
