On our first night in Nagoya, we arrived at a modest 8 p.m., but by the time we checked-in to our hotel and rested our feet, it was quickly 9:30 p.m. We decided to look for a bite to eat but all we found was this McDonald’s and I wasn’t in the mood for that. I suggested we go back to the hotel and eat there, but when we tried to get a seat at the hotel restaurant, we were told it was full and they were not taking any more customers for the rest of the evening! It was only 10:50 p.m. and the restaurant was supposed to be open until midnight, so I think that guy’s English may not have been so good and he said the wrong thing. We knew that there was a huge food court in the station, but we discovered they were all about to close because it was 11 p.m. Desperate for a meal, we rushed over to the McDonald’s as a last resort and luckily they were still accepting take-out orders. We grabbed some food, took it to our hotel, and went to bed with satisfied stomachs!
